Cardiff to Heathrow Airport Transfers
Heathrow is our most popular long-distance run. Fixed-price transfers from £260 + VAT (£312 inc. VAT), door to door from South Wales to any terminal, with your flight tracked on the way home.
Your Heathrow transfer from Cardiff: what to know
Heathrow is about 140 miles from Cardiff, a drive of roughly 2 hours 30 minutes along the M4 in normal traffic. From Bristol it is around 115 miles and 2 hours. It is the most popular long-distance airport run we do, and the M4 takes us almost door to door.
Heathrow has four passenger terminals: 2, 3, 4 and 5. Terminal 5 is home to British Airways, while other airlines are spread across Terminals 2, 3 and 4. Tell us your airline and flight number and we will take you to the right one.
Heathrow does not allow pick-ups at the terminal forecourt, so for arrivals your driver parks in the short-stay car park and meets you in the arrivals hall with a name board. For departures we drop you at the terminal forecourt. We plan around M4 roadworks and the M25 junction, and leave extra time for morning long-haul departures.
Airport drop-off and parking charges are included in your fixed price, so there is nothing extra to pay on the day.
Travelling as a group by minibus
Minibus collections at Heathrow use the airport’s official group travel system, which works differently from a car pick-up. Your driver waits in Heathrow’s coach holding area and is called forward to the terminal by the airport’s Coach Marshal when your group is ready.
- Stay inside the terminal until everyone in your group has collected their luggage and cleared Customs.
- Go to the Group Travel area on the Arrivals forecourt and find the Coach Marshal.
- Tell the marshal you are travelling with Ibex Shuttle, and give your flight number and destination.
- The marshal calls your driver forward. It normally takes no more than about 10 minutes for the minibus to reach the terminal.
- Your driver meets you at your terminal’s coach stand (see below).
| Terminal | Group collection point |
|---|---|
| Terminal 2 | Arrivals forecourt, lane 3, bus stops 13–14 |
| Terminal 3 | Arrivals forecourt, bus stops 9–10 |
| Terminal 4 | Arrivals forecourt, lane 3, bus stops 18–19 |
| Terminal 5 | Arrivals forecourt, lane 1, bus stops 16–16B |
Please only call the minibus forward once the whole group is ready. If the group isn’t ready, the driver is sent back to the holding area and the collection is delayed. For departures, we drop groups at the terminal’s designated coach drop-off point.
Heathrow’s group collection charge is included in your fixed price, so there is nothing extra to pay on the day.
